Description

General description

CD40 Ligand (CD40L/TRAP) is a type II membrane protein which, effectuates the helper function of T cells on resting B cells. GF101 is a 16.3 kDa protein containing 149 amino acid residues comprising the receptor binding TNF-like domain of CD40L.

Physical form

Sterile filtered and lyophilized from 10 mM Sodium Phosphate, pH 7.5.

Storage and Stability

The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks for at room temperature but is best stored at -20ºC. Reconstitute in 10 mM Sodium Phosphate, pH7.5 to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. This solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 2-8ºC for one week or -20ºC for future use. Reconstituted sCD40L/TRAP should be stored at -20ºC in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Freeze/thaw cycles will result in significant loss of activity.
