General description

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is part of the family of glycoprotein immunoglobulins, which stage immune responses against pathogenic organisms. IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant of serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. IgG contributes to the immune response by mobilizing innate immune effector cells and inducing and pro-inflammatory responses. Such proinflammatory responses are mediated by Fc gamma receptors which interact with sialylated Fc fragments on IgG molecules. The coupling of Cy3 to Anti-Human IgG antibody allows for the visualization of proteins by fluorescent microscopy.

Based on ELISA analysis using the unconjugated antibody (Cat. No. AC112), this antibody exhibits strongest immunoreactivity towards whole human IgG molecule (IgG>IgM>IgG Fc>IgG Fab>IgA>IgM Fc) with minimal or no cross-reactivity toward IgG from chicken, guinea pig, hamster, mouse, rabbit, and rat species.

Purified human IgG.

This Sheep Anti-Human IgG, Cy3 conjugate, Cat. No. AC112C, detects human IgG and is validated for Immunocytochemistry staining of human IgG-producing B-cell hybridoma SA13.

This antibody is also available in unconjugated and Cy5-conjugated forms (Cat. Nos. AC112 and AC112S).

Evaluated by Immunocytochemistry in human B-cell hybridoma SA13.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:250 dilution of this antibody immunostained 4% paraformaldehyde-fixed, 0.1% Triton X-100-permeabilized human B-cell hybridoma SA13, but not HeLa cells.
