Description

General description

Antibody molecules typically comprise two immunoglobulin light chains covalently bound to a pair of heavy chains. Immunoglobulin light chains occur in two types, designated by the Greek letters kappa and lambda. Kappa and lambda light chains are approximately 250 amino acids in length with an average mass of about 25 kDa. The ratio of kappa to lambda found in the immunoglobulin population varies by species.

Specificity

Reacts with human kappa light chains. Absorbed for human myeloma proteins with λ light chains and mouse immunoglobulins.

The antibody reacts with human kappa light chains as demonstrated by ELISA and flow cytometry.

Immunogen

Prepared from Ig kappa chain. Pooled antisera from goats hyperimmunized with human myeloma proteins with κ light chains.

Application

Goat anti-Human Ig κ chain Antibody, Species Adsorbed detects level of Human Ig κ chain & has been published & validated for use in ELISA & IF.

Immunofluorescence: ≤ 1 μg/106 cells.
ELISA

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
