Labels carboxy-terminal pro-peptide of collagen type I. Does not stain mature collagen fibers in tissue, but rather is localized intracellularly in cells producing pro-collagen I. Positive reaction: human, guinea pig, bovine. Negative reaction: mouse, rat, hamster.

Epitope: C-terminus

Human pro-collagen I.

Immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded tissue sections fixed in acid ETOH, not traditional formalin. (1% HOAC in 95% ETOH) fixation. Suggested starting dilution 1:100 (10-25 μg/mL).

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.
