Specificity

Goa. Strong reactivity with bovine (100%) and human (58%). Slight reactivity with guinea pig (24%) and rat (26%). Does not react with mouse. Specificity confirmed by Western blot versus bovine Galphat, rat Goalpha, rat Gialpha-1, Gialpha-2, rat Gialpha-3, bovine Gsalpha, and murine GoalphaA and GoalphaB

Immunogen

Bovine brain Goalpha purified by the method of Sternweis and Robishaw (J. Biol. Chem. [1984] 259, 13806).
