Description

General description

Milliflex® Cassette are ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex® or Milliflex Oasis® system for convenient, rapid and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10ml of the media. Pseudomonas Isolation Agar is a selective medium for isolating Pseudomonas species from water samples. It is also differential media for P. aeruginosa by allowing formation of soluble blue-green pyocyanin pigment. Irgasan, an antimicrobial agent, selectively inhibits gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria other than Pseudomonas sp. and glycerol, magnesium chloride and potassium sulfate promote production of pyocyanin.

Application

Milliflex® Cassette prefilled with Pseudomonas Isolation Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis of water especially high purity water (electronics, RO, distilled or purified). It is widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and brewing industry.
