Description

General description

Milliflex® Cassette are ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex® or Milliflex Oasis® system for convenient, rapid and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10ml of the media. Tryptic Soy Agar is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts and molds. The medium is supplemented with the neutralizers such as lecithin and polysorbate 80 to neutralize for quaternary ammonium compounds and substituted phenolic disinfectants respectively.

Application

Milliflex® Cassette prefilled with Tryptic Soy Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis. It is commonly used in determining the efficiency of the sanitation of containers, equipment and surfaces as well as for water miscible cosmetic products. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and brewing industry.
