Description

General description

Reversed-phase silica gels are generally used to retain catalysts by hydrophobic interactions. Fluorous reversed phase silica gel (FRPSG), an alternative to separate perfluro-tagged compounds by solid phase extraction. FRPSG was used for the separation of steroids, flavonoids, polyphenols and taxanes. Purification of organic mixture was done using fluorous solid phase extraction (FSPE) on perfluorinated silica gel.

Application

Silica gel C8-reversed phase was used in the purification of tertiary sulphonamide using fluorous solid-phase extraction (FSPE).

Other Notes

Solid phase used for the separation of fluorinated substances from mixtures in FPOS, Fluorous Phase Organic Synthesis
