Description

General description

Benzyl benzoate may undergo hydrogenation reaction catalyzed by a system of [Ru(acac)3](Where Ru-ruthenium/acac-acetylacetonate) with MeC(CH2PPh2)3(tripodal triphosphine ligand) and in the presence of excess of triethylamine in trifluoroethanol to obtain benzyl alcohol.
