Description

General description

Methyl myristate is generally used with methyl laurate as lubricant for textiles, metalworking and agricultural applications.

Application

Methyl myristate may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the anayte in Mentha piperita L. extract using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry.

Methyl myristate may be used as an internal standard in the determination of dichlobenil, a nonselective soil herbicide in soil samples using gas chromatography(GC) technique.
