General description

DR3 is a member of the TNF superfamily. It is expressed in lymphocyte rich tissues such as blood, thymus and spleen.

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide

Anti-DR3 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for microarray and immunoblotting at a working concentration of 1μg/ml using total cell lysates from Jurkat cells.

Biochem/physiol Actions

DR3 is a death domain-containing receptor that is involved in inducing apoptosis or programmed cell death in cells. Binding of ligand to these receptors sends signals that activate members of the caspase family of proteases, which cause the degradation of chromosomal DNA by activating DNase. It also activates NF-κB, a protein complex that controls transcription of DNA.
