Description

General description

Eph family of tyrosine kinase receptors mediates cell-cell attachment and aggregation by binding to specific ligands, ephrins. The Eph family consists of 14 structurally related receptors that are either membrane linked or are transmembrane with overlapping affinity for ligands. The transmembrane receptors EphA and EphB (ELK) subclasses signal via distinct mediators in the cytoplasm. EphA3 bind ephrin A and regulates the signals for neural crest formation and the migration of neurons during vascular cell assembly, development and angiogenesis . Anti-EphBA3 antibody recognizes mouse EphA3. The antibody shows approximately 10% cross reactivity with recombinant mouse EphA6 and recombinant mouse EphA7 and 5% cross reactivity with recombinant human EphA1, recombinant mouse EphA2, recombinant mouse EphA4, recombinant mouse EphA8, and recombinant rat EphA5.

Specificity

By immunoblotting and ELISA, the antibody shows ~10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse EphA6, mouse EphA7 and 5% cross-reactivity human EphA1, mouse EphA2, mouse EphA4, mouse EphA8, and rat EphA5.

Immunogen

recombinant mouse EphA3, extracellular domain, expressed in NSO cells.

Application

Anti-EphA3 antibody may be used for immunoblotting at a working concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/ml. For ELISA, the recommended concentration is 0.5-1.0 μg/ml.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 0.2 μm filtered phosphate buffered saline solution.
