What solvents can be used forMethylprednisolone?
Sigma tests the solublity of Methylprednisolone at 50 mg/ml in chloroform:methanol (1:1) yielding a clear, colorless to faint yellow solution.This product is practically insoluble in water, soluble 1 in 100 of dehydrated ethanol (10 mg/ml), slightly soluble in chloroform and ether; sparingly soluble in dioxan and methanol. It has been reported that this product is soluble in DMSO at a concentration of 100 mM. An NMR has been run using DMSO-d6 suggesting this product is soluble at 5-10 mg/ml in DMSO.
