A synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 343-358 of human MAP kinase activated protein kinase 2 (MAPKAPK-2), coupled to KLH. The sequence is identical in mouse MAPKAPK-2.

General description

MAP Kinase Activated Protein Kinase-2 (MAPKAPK-2) is a protein that belongs to Ser/Thr protein kinase family and is activated by p38 MAPK in response to several signals like mitogenic and stress stimuli. It has a crucial role in phosphorylating LIMK1 and hence plays a vital function in VEGF-A-induced actin reorganization, migration, and tubule formation of endothelial cells. Anti-MAP Kinase Activated Protein Kinase-2 (MAPKAPK-2) antibody can be used to study the differential tissue expression of MAPKAPK-2 and its intracellular localization in normal and neoplastic tissues. Rabbit anti-MAP Kinase Activated Protein Kinase-2 (MAPKAPK-2) antibody reacts specifically with human MAPKAPK-2protein (45 kD).

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Anti-MAP Kinase Activated Protein Kinase-2 (MAPKAPK-2) antibody can be used in western blotting (diluted 1:2000) and microarray.
