Application

For use as a wash buffer in western blotting, ELISA, and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining procedures.

Suitability

Suitable for use in diagnostic applications and general use lab applications such as dot blot, western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining procedures.

Physical form

10X Solution as provided: 0.5 M Tris/Tris-HCl, 1.38 M NaCl, 0.027 M KCl, and 0.5% TWEEN 20 in high purity dH2O adjusted to pH 7.5. Solution is 0.2 μm filtered.

1X Working solution will consist of 0.05 M Tris/Tris-HCl, 0.138 M NaCl, 0.0027 M KCl, and TWEEN 20 - 0.05%, pH 7.4 - 7.6, at 25 °C.

Other Notes

Concentrated solution should be stored at 2–8 °C. Precaution should be taken to minimize foaming. Avoid vigorous agitation. The diluted wash buffer can be stored at room temperature (20–25 °C) for up to one week. Solutions that become turbid should be discarded.
