Description

General description

P-CAP is made from a polymerized diacryloyl-trans-1,2-diphenylethylenediamine bonded to the silica surface. It utilizes hydrogen bonding and steric effects as enantiomer separation mechanisms. P-CAP can be used for SFC and normal phase separations of racemic mixtures. It has high stability, high sample loading capacity (suitable for preparative scale-up), and no memory effect. The elution order of compounds can be reversed in the (R,R) versus (S,S) configuration.
