Thiadiazoles

Thiadiazole derivatives are privileged structures in medicinal chemistry and have been investigated for anticonvulsant and antimicrobial activities. Derivatives of 1,3,4-thiadiazoles are known to exhibit antibacterial and antifungal activities. The presence of a halogen allows these reagents to be used as substrates in various coupling reactions, including Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions.
