  1. Where can I find pricing and availability of a product?
    Find the product of interest, searching either by name or product number, and click on the product number. This will take you to a screen that shows the pricing and availability for that product. As an example, select 596418.

  2. How should I make my purchase order to ISOTEC?

  3. What is the difference between chemical purity and isotopic purity?
    Isotopic purity refers to Isotope enrichment at a specified position for an isotopically-labeled compound. As an example, if D-Glucose-1-13C has an isotopic purity of 99 atom % 13C, 99% of position 1 is 13C and 1% is 12C. Typically, the percent is molar ratio. The remainder of the carbon atoms (positions 2-6) is natural abundance, with 1% 13C and 99% 12C.

  4. Where can I get a copy of the Specification Sheet or Certificate of Analysis?
    From the product detail page, select the Safety and Documentation tab. The Specification Sheet shows the specifications of the product and is not lot specific. To access a Certification of Analysis, which shows the specifications along with the analysis results and is lot specific, enter the lot number of the product.

  5. Where can I get an SDS for a particular product?
    From the product detail page, select Safety and Documentation tab. Click SDS.

  6. What is the pressure of a gas in a particular cylinder?
    For gases that are considered “ideal,” the following is a good approximation:
    Pressure (in atmospheres) = V gas/V cylinder
    Example:   1 L of CO2 in a lecture bottle (  ̴450 mL)
    Pressure = 1 L (gas)/0.45 L (cylinder) = 2.2 atmospheres
    1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSIA (pounds per square inch absolute)
    Absolute Pressure = gauge pressure + barometric pressure

    Gases that liquefy at moderate pressures will have much different cylinder pressures. For a detailed discussion and typical pressures for different products, refer to Technical Bulletin.

  7. Where can I get a copy of the customer cylinder statement that would allow me to return a cylinder for refill?
    The gas cylinder statement is available online from any of the gas product detail pages. Select the Safety and Documentation tab or find it here.

  8. I live outside of the U.S. Who do I contact to place an order or get a quote?
