氧化偶氮甲烷 (AOM) 是一种用于诱导大鼠和小鼠结肠癌的有效致癌物质。它已被用于评估预防性治疗对氧化偶氮甲烷致癌作用的疗效的研究。1,2,3 氧化偶氮甲烷也常用于在啮齿动物模型中确定特定食物的化学预防效果,如难消化的糖4,5、红肉6、以及绿茶7等。这些从啮齿动物模型中获取的结果有助于确定针对人类结肠癌的可能预防方法。8

在用AOM处理后的小鼠中所生长的肿瘤中检测到转化生长因子β(TGF-β)信号转导的变化或异常。9,10氧化偶氮甲烷处理能够激活EGF受体的内在酪氨酸激酶,同时刺激TGF-α的合成。11

环氧合酶2(COX-2)抑制剂NS-398(货号N194)能够降低氧化偶氮甲烷处理的大鼠中的肿瘤前细胞的发生率。12
