Biological Buffers


ACES is a zwitterionic compound used in biochemical and biological research1. ACES has been utilized to develop buffers for both agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis2. In addition, this buffer is an ideal separator in the resolution of protein systems3,4.

ACES binds Cu2+5. and Mg; weak interaction with Ca, Mn, Co, Ni and Zn6
