A9539 Agarose BioReagent, for molecular biology, low EEO Routine use agarose is ideal for everyday analysis of nucleic acids by gel electrophoresis or blotting (Northern or Southern) and is also suitable for protein applications such as Ouchterlony and radial immunodiffusion (RID). Has low ethidium bromide and SYBR Green background staining.
A6013 Agarose Type I, low EEO Agarose has been used:
• in the embedding of fluorescent nanospheres.
• for the generation of tissue-like phantoms similar to myocardial tissues.
• in hydrogel preparation.

A6877 Agarose Medium EEO, for molecular biology Agarose has been used:
• in gel electrophoresis
• in the preparation of 2x agarose solution used along with 2x supplemented-MEM media as an overlay medium in plaque assay
• in an immunodiffusion test for Paracoccidioidomycosis

A0169 Agarose Type I-A, low EEO Agarose has been used:
• as a component in the preparation of tumor tissue to embed the cell material
• in the sample preparation for quantum dot analysis
• in the preparation of agarose-solidified medium to study the effect of medium solidification on the culture of isolated ovules

A4718 Agarose High resolution, for molecular biology Agarose has been used in the preparation of microgel slides employed in lysis and electrophoresis. It has also been used in the gel electrophoresis to separate restriction enzyme digested products in catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) genotyping
A2576 Agarose Ultra-low Gelling Temperature, molecular biology grade Agarose has been used:
• in thaumatin and elastase protein crystallization
• in microcasting using a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mold with micro-channel
• in agarose micro-confinement array

A7431 Agarose BioReagent, for molecular biology, Wide range/Standard 3:1 Specially formulated to form strong, flexible gels for separation of small (≤1 kb) PCR products, DNA and RNA. Stronger gels make gel-handling easier. Sharp resolution is produced with DNA fragments ranging from 10-1500 bp.
A0701 Agarose, low gelling temperature Type VII-A Excellent for in-gel enzymatic reactions and cloning assays and for recovery of heat-labile samples after electrophoresis
Agarose has been used:
• to encapsulate Escherichia coli on a hydrogel in tissue culture
• to entrap Aliivibrio fischeri on a disposable card involved in designing of toxicity biosensors
• as a the dispersed phase of emulsion during preparation agar beads

A5306 Bacteriological agar for molecular biology Bacteriological agar has been used:
• as a component of ATCC agar for Escherichia coli culture
• as one of the experimental diet feed for Atlantic salmon fry, to study the protein and lysine requirements for maintenance and for tissue accretion
• as component of yeast extract peptone dextrose medium, Luria broth medium and synthetic complete drop out medium for Escherichia coli culture
