Analysis Note Bupropion is primarily a medication used as an antidepressant or smoking cessation aid. Bupropion acts as a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI) and is also a nicotinic antagonist. These standards are used in testing methods by HPLC and LC/MS for applications in pharmaceutical research, forensic analysis and clinical toxicology.  Shown here is a gradient separation of bupropion and five of its related compounds in less than ten minutes on an Ascentis Express C18 column.
