Analysis Note The BIOshell IgG 1000 Ã… C4 column combines the advantages of superficially porous particles (SPPs) with large (1000 Ã…) pore diameters for high efficiency separations. This application demonstrates the resolving power of the BIOshell IgG column by comparing the chromatographic performance of this column against a column packed with 1.7 μm fully porous particles (FPPs) with a pore diameter of 300 Ã…. Resolution between the different proteins is improved on the BIOshell IgG column in addition to the ability of the BIOshell IgG column to resolve post-translational modifications seen in two of the peaks that is not resolved on the FPP-packed column.
