Ascentis® Express C8 U/HPLC Columns

Enhanced retention for less hydrophobic compounds or faster separation if retention on C18 is too long

When a C18 doesn′t give the desired separation, or your sample contains compounds that are known to be difficult to retain or resolve on a C18, consider changing to an Ascentis® Express C8 column. The Ascentis® Express C8 can be the ideal phase for non-polar compounds that are retained too strongly by a traditional C18 column.

The Fused-Core® particle technology of the Ascentis® Express C8 column enables high speed and high resolution separations on HPLC and UHPLC instruments. The column efficiency performs typically 40% higher in comparison to fully porous particulate columns with same particle size.

C8 HPLC Columns with Fused-Core® Technology for Reversed Phase Separation

Our Ascentis® Express C8 high-speed, high-performance liquid chromatography column is based on a superficially porous Fused-Core® particle design.  The Fused-Core® particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core.  This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths. Three different particle sizes are available for your specific needs:

Fused-Core® particle size 2 µm

2.0 µm particles

Best Fused-Core UHPLC Column
