CARBARYL

This method is for determination of Carbaryl, a Group II Pesticide using visible absorption spectrophotometry. Synonyms are Sevin; naphthalenol N-methylcarbamate; 1-Naphthyl-N-methylcarbamate. The working range is 0.5 to 20 mg/m3 for a 200 L air sample. Because methylene chloride is toxic, use only in a hood. Carbaryl is chiefly used as an insecticide.

Analysis Type (Application Method): Atomic absorption
