POLYNUCLEAR AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS by GC

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are uncharged, non-polar molecules found in coal and in tar deposits generated by the incomplete combustion of organic matter (e.g., in engines and incinerators, when biomass burns in forest fires, etc.). This test method uses gas chromatography, capillary, column, and FID techniques to detect Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons. Specific sample sets may require modification in filter extraction solvent, choice of measurement method, and measurement conditions. This revises P&CAM 183.

Analysis Type (Application Method): GC, capillary column, FID
