ELEMENTS by ICP (Aqua Regia Ashing)

This method uses inductively coupled argon plasma and atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), not compound specific, to verify that types of compounds in the samples are soluble with the ashing procedure selected. Take precaution that concentrated acids are powerful oxidizers, toxic, and corrosive liquids. Wear protective clothing and work in a fume hood. Flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (e.g., Methods 70XX) is an alternate analytical technique for many of these elements.

Analysis Type (Application Method): Inductively coupled argon plasma, atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES)
