4,4′-Methylenedianiline (MDA)

Samples are collected by drawing known volumes of air through sulfuric acid-treated glass fiber filters. Before submitting the samples to the laboratory, each filter is transferred to separate glass vials containing 2 mL of deionized water. Analysis is performed by analyzing the heptafluorobutyric acid anhydride derivative of MDA by gas chromatography using an electron capture detector.
