Snap-N-Spike® reference solutions of immunosuppressant drugs

Immunosuppressant drugs including tacrolimus, sirolimus, everolimus, and cyclosporine diminish immune responses and are used worldwide to prevent organ rejection after transplantation. In the United States transplant patients still living 5 years post transplant have surged to 69% for kidney, 75% for heart, and 74% for liver recipients.1 Since immunosuppressants have a narrow therapeutic range, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is used for organ recipients to avoid adverse effects while sufficiently suppressing organ rejection.

Sigma-Aldrich's Cerilliant brand offers a broad selection of Certified Spiking Solutions® for several immunosuppressant drugs as well as their metabolites and internal standards. Accurate preparation of a quantitative reference for immunosuppressant drugs is highly critical for the monitoring of transplant and other patients on immunosuppressive therapy to ensure patients remain within the therapeutic range. These Certified Spiking Solutions® are suitable for numerous quantitative applications in clinical and diagnostic testing or therapeutic drug monitoring. Our Snap-N-Spike® format allows laboratories to eliminate weighing operations of these substances, significantly reducing occupational exposure hazards related to handling of acutely toxic powders, while providing the ability to spike into their matrix of choice just before use.

Included with each product is a comprehensive Certificate of Analysis (COA) which provides all analytical data on homogeneity, accuracy of concentration as compared to a calibration curve, and uncertainty and traceability information for regulatory requirements. Cerilliant Snap-N-Spike® reference solutions are manufactured and tested to the highest industry standards including ISO Guide 34, ISO/IEC 17024, and ISO 13485.
