Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Standards

Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) measures drug concentrations in blood and other biological fluids to ensure maintenance of a drug’s therapeutic range. TDM is performed routinely to guide the dosing regimen for optimizing a drug’s efficacy while minimizing patient toxicity. Using LC-MS/MS or immunoassay LDT’s for TDM applications requires accurate certified reference solutions for accurate quantification of therapeutic drug levels. Proper determination of therapeutic drug levels is critical for keeping drug dosages within the narrow therapeutic range.

Sigma-Aldrich's Cerilliant brand provides numerous Certified Spiking Solutions® for use in therapeutic drug monitoring applications including linearity standards for immunosuppressants, anti-cancer drugs, anticonvulsants, antidepressants, cardiac drugs, and antifungals. Our Snap-N-Spike® solutions are prepared and certified under ISO Guide 34, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 and are compliant with ISO 17511 and ISO 15194.
