Cerebellum (London, England), 10(3), 356-372 (2011-03-25)
The cerebellum is a highly organized structure partitioned into lobules along the anterior-posterior (A-P) axis and into striped molecular domains along the medial-lateral (M-L) axis. The Engrailed (En) homeobox genes are required for patterning the morphological and molecular domains along

Stem or progenitor cells acquire specific regional identities during early ontogenesis. Nonetheless, there is evidence that cells heterotopically transplanted to neurogenic regions of the developing or mature central nervous system may switch their fate to adopt host-specific phenotypes. Here, we

The function of inhibitory interneurons within brain microcircuits depends critically on the nature and properties of their excitatory synaptic drive. Golgi cells (GoCs) of the cerebellum inhibit cerebellar granule cells (GrCs) and are driven both by feedforward mossy fiber (mf)
