JX225 is a potent and selective high-affinity allosteric inhibitor of amino acid transporter B0AT1 (SLC6A19) (IC50 = 31nM). JX225 binds to an allosteric binding site in the vestibule of the transporter, which prevents conformational change necessary for channel opening.
