Application

Ethyl ether can be used as:

A solvent in organic reactions such as Grignard and Wurtz reactions.
A solvent along with lithium perchlorate (LPDE) in the reductive monoalkylation of amines and its derivative with aldehyde.
A solvent for the extraction and purification of (L+) lactic acid from fermented broth and synthesize PLA (polylactic acid).
