Application

2,3-Diaminopyridine was used in the synthesis of 2,3-diaminopyridinium-4-hydroxybenzoate[1]. It was used as internal standard in analysis of poly(amidoamine)dendrimers having different terminal functionalities by capillary electrophoresis[2]. It was used as reagent in synthesis of imidazopyridines[3] and organometallic complexes[4].

General description

2,3-Diaminopyridine forms the bis-condensed Schiff base with salicylaldehyde[5]. It forms charge transfer complex with tetrachloro-p-benzoquinone and tetracyanoethylene[6].

In the title hydrated mol-ecular salt, C(5)H(8)N(3) (+)·C(7)H(5)O(6)S(-)·H(2)O, the ion pairs and water mol-ecules are connected by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, thereby forming a three-dimensional network. There is an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond in the 3-carb-oxy-4-hy-droxy-benzene-sulfonate anion, which
