SupelInert multi-layer foil gas sampling bags with Thermogreen LB-2 septa are ideal for sampling low molecular weight compounds such as carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and permanent gases. They are also suitable for sampling sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon disulfide (CS2) and mercaptans.

The fitting size is 3/16 inch. The materials that make up these bags include Multi-Layer Foil (0.002"), Polyethylene (0.0003"), Aluminum Foil, Polyethylene, Aluminum (metalized), and 60 Gauge Nylon. These bags are suitable for hydrogen and methane sampling.

How permeable are they? We are looking at storing hydrogen for 2/3 days in these bags. Is this viable ?

The bags are not permeable and are suitable for storing gases for 2-3 days. However, caution must be observed so as not to over-fill the bags. All gas sampling bags (Tedlar and Supel-Inert) should only be filled to 80% of the volume to prevent overpressure. Filling the bag with pressures greater than 1 psi (~0.07 bar) could cause the bag to burst or leak the sample.

Do you sell the septa of these bags separately as well? The manual says septa can be replaced, and the bag reused even after the septum has too many punctures and doesn't seal properly anymore. If you do, I'd like to order septa only.
