D-(+)-Trehalose shows anti-desiccant and cryopreservative activities.[4] It acts as an osmolyte, and stress protectant and helps in the storage and transport of carbon.[5] Trehalose is involved in the food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries.[6] It plays a vital role in the survival of certain insects and plants known as anhydrobionts during harsh environments such as high rates of dehydration.[7]

If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
