General description

Interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1α) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by various cell types, including macrophages, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells, and plays a key role in the immune response. It is involved in the regulation of inflammation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis, acting as a crucial mediator in the body′s response to infection and injury. IL-1α is also implicated in the pathogenesis of several inflammatory diseases, highlighting its importance in both protective immunity and pathological conditions.

Application

Inflammatory Disease / Immune Response / Autoimmune Disease

Biochem/physiol Actions

Although IL-1α was detectablein non-human primate, canine, and rat plasma, the assay has not been verified for these species.

Features and Benefits

  • Exceptional Detection Limits: With detection capabilities in the femtogram/mL range, this immunoassay excels in identifying low concentrations of IL-1α, making it invaluable for researchers focused on early disease detection.
  • Accurate Biomarker Monitoring: The high sensitivity of the kit enables precise monitoring of IL-1α levels, essential for understanding inflammatory pathways and assessing treatment responses in research settings focused on conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and sepsis.
  • Versatile Research Applications: Designed for a variety of research environments, this ultrasensitive assay kit is ideal for applications in drug development, biomarker discovery, and immunological studies, enhancing its relevance across multiple scientific disciplines.
  • Improved Experimental Outcomes: By facilitating early detection and effective monitoring of inflammatory responses, this kit contributes to more robust experimental designs and findings, ultimately leading to better insights into disease mechanisms.
