General description

A powerful protein denaturant that is widely used in the purification of proteins, nucleic acids, and mRNA. It is used in a variety of applications, including sequencing, molecular weight determinations, and as a solubilizing agent for electrophoresis.
Absorbance (6.0 M, H2O): <0.2 at 230 nm; <0.03 at 260 nm.
