General description
デキストランは無水グルコースの重合体です。約95%のα-D-(166)結合からなります。残りの（163）結合はデキストランの分岐を表します。分岐の長さに関して矛盾するデータが示されていますが、これは平均の分岐長さは3グルコース単位未満であることを意味しています。しかし、他の方法では50グルコース単位より大きい分岐の存在が示されています。天然のデキストランは9百万～5億の範囲の分子量（MW）を持つことがわかっています。低分子量のデキストランはやや分岐が少なく、MWの範囲はもっと狭くなっています。10,000より大きい分子量を持つデキストランは高度に分岐しているかのような挙動を示します。分子量の増加に伴い、デキストラン分子はより高度な対称性を獲得します。分子量2,000～10,000のデキストランは、伸縮性コイルの性質を示します。分子量2,000未満では、デキストランはよりロッド状になります。デキストランの分子量は以下の1つまたはそれ以上の方法を用いて測定されます：低角レーザー光散乱、サイズ排除クロマトグラフィー、同錯体化およびアンスロン試薬比色還元糖定量、および粘度測定。

フルオレセイン‐デキストラン、2000 kDaは、ミニチュア・インテグレーテッド蛍光顕微鏡を用いた、生きたマウスの脳微小血管系のin vivoイメージングに用いられました。FITC‐デキストラン、2000 kDa（FD-2000）は、心臓血管、微小循環、かん流および細胞膜浸透性研究において、血流、膜損傷、血管排出および腎排出などのプロセス測定を支援する蛍光フラックストレーサー化合物として用いられます。フルオレセイン‐デキストラン、2000 kDaは、ミニチュア・インテグレーテッド蛍光顕微鏡を用いた、生きたマウスの脳微小血管系のin vivoイメージングに用いられることがあります。FITC‐デキストランは植物細胞壁の孔隙率の研究に用いられています。
FITC-デキストランは微小蛍光測定法を利用した微小循環や細胞浸透性研究に広く用いられます。FITC-デキストランは植物細胞壁の孔隙率や毛細管透過性の研究に用いられています。血漿タンパク質はFITC-デキストランに結合しないことが示されています。
フルオレセインイソチオシアネ-トでラベルされたデキストランは動物での灌流実験に使用可能です。

Preparation Note
シグマでは、通常、25 mg/mL 以上の濃度で、FITCデキストランの水への溶解性をテストしています。溶液は遮光してください。FITC-デキストランは、in vivoで 24 時間以上安定です。

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
