General description

Ethyl butyrate belongs to the class of esters and is generally employed as a flavor enhancer in commercial food products.[1]

Application

Ethyl butyrate may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in orange essence oil samples[2] and has been used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in dry and sweet white wines[3] using different chromatography techniques.
