This product does not have a specification for clarity; if it is cloudy, the solution may be heated to 55–60 °C to depolymerize the formaldehyde and return everything to solution. Note that more concentrated (~37% by weight) formaldehyde solutions typically contain approximately 10 percent methanol to help prevent polymerization of the formaldehyde.
