General description

This ready-to-use certified reference material (CRM) is produced and qualified following ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025. It is manufactured gravimetrically with traceability to SI and higher order standards from National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Its certified value is based on purity determination by mass balance and gravimetrically prepared value. It is delivered in a 500 mL HDPE bottle.

All information regarding metrological traceability, uncertainty, homogeneity and stability is documented in the certificate of analysis (CoA).

Application

Suitable for use in calibration of instruments for conductivity measurements.

Values of analytes vary lot to lot. Some lots may not contain all analytes.

  1. when i use this solution, if the temperature value not 25 Celcius,, example the temperature value is 29 celcius, what value will be read?

    1. Conductivity is not measured at different temperatures to create a correction table. Over typical measurement temperatures, the industry standard is a correction factor of 2% per °C. The CRM should be used to calibrate or confirm the conductivity meter, which should read 25 µmhos/cm at 25 °C. If a reading of 25 µmhos/cm is not obtained, the instrument may require adjustment. Alternatively, the standard correction factor or another factor can be used to calculate acceptance criteria at the measurement temperature.
