Application

Phenolphthalein is widely used as a pH indicator in biology and medicine. Its other applications include
  • in the assay to estimate total acidity in vinegar
  • in the assessment of penetration of sodium hydroxide into potatoes following chemical peeling
  • as a model organic compound in the evaluation of the capture efficiency of various cyclodextrin constructs such as nanofiber-CD
