General description

Anti-FLT3 antibody detects endogenous levels of total FLT3 protein.
FLT3 (Fms-like tyrosine kinase) is a member of tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. It has an extracellular domain consisting of five immunoglobulin-like domains and an intracellular kinase domain interrupted by a kinase insert. It is located on human chromosome 13q12.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human FLT3.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Mutation in FLT3 (Fms-like tyrosine kinase) results in acute myeloid leukemia and it also induces warburg effect and offers therapeutic sensitivity to glycolytic inhibition.
