Application

Photoelectrodes of varying properties can be made using colloidal suspensions of titanium(IV) oxide nanoparticles.

TiO₂ can be used in a variety of medical implants, such as dental implants, spinal fixations, and joint replacements. It can also be used in a stable colloidal solution for the formation of RPMI cell culture medium. It forms a conductive layer in the fabrication of dye sensitized solar cells.
