Application

4ME 16:0 Diether PC or 1,2-di-O-phytanyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is suitable for the preparation of multilamellar and giant lipid vesicles.[1] It has also been used as a standard to analyze and compare the archaeal abundances in microbial communities based on the phosphoether lipids (PEL) concentrations.[2]
