General description

Elastin−Congo red is a substrate-dye conjugate and is used in agar medium to probe elastase activity. The presence of elastase functionality leads to cleavage of the dye from the elastin substrate.[1]

Application

Elastin−Congo red has been used as a substrate for neutrophil elastase,[2] salivary elastase[3] and P. aeruginosa.[4]

Packaging

5 g in glass bottle

Other Notes
