  1. What type of mica is used as the substrate? I'm looking to anneal this in UHV for scan probe microscopy, and muscovite mica breaks down at at around 600°C

    1. This product uses muscovite mica as the substrate. Under ultra-high vacuum, degradation begins around 600 °C, so annealing at higher temperatures is not feasible.

  2. Hello. I would be interested in buying mica substrates coated with gold for growing 2D materials by CVD. I understand that the thickness of the gold film is about 200 nm. What is the roughness of the surface? Does it exhibit large flat terraces? Thank you

    1. The surface roughness value for the gold-coated mica product is 2-4 nm. Flat terrace characteristics have not been evaluated.
