General description
Das aktive Enantiomer von (±)-Blebbistatin (Katalognr. 203390) ist für die hemmende Wirkung gegen ATPase (IC50 = ~2 µmol/l) und Myosin II-abhängige zelluläre Prozesse verantwortlich. Berichten zufolge hemmt es die Actomyosin-ATPase-Aktivitäten von exprimiertem glattem Muskelmyosin IIA (SMA) und glattem Muskelmyosin IIB (SMB), der Schwerketten-Isoformen von glattem Muskelmyosin II (IC50 ~3 µmol/l).

Preparation Note
Nach der Rekonstitution in Aliquote aufteilen und einfrieren (-20 °C). Stammlösungen in 90%igem DMSO oder Methanol sind bei -20 °C bis zu 1 Monat haltbar. Stammlösungen in 100%igem DMSO sind instabil; direkt vor dem Gebrauch rekonstituieren.
