Beschreibung

General description

Ein zelldurchdringendes entzündungshemmendes und Antitumor-Mittel, das als Inhibitor von 5-Lipoxygenase (IC₅₀ = 8 µ;M) und Cyclooxygenase (IC₅₀ = 52 µ;M) fungiert. Verleiht erheblichen Schutz vor neurotoxischen und genotoxischen Stoffen. Hemmt zudem die Induktion von Stickstoffmonoxid-Synthase in aktivierten Makrophagen (IC₅₀ = 6 µ;M). Hemmt gemäß neuer Erkenntnisse die intrinsische EGF-Rezeptor-Kinase-Aktivität bei menschlichen Epidermoidkarzinom-A431-Zellen auf dosis- und zeitabhängige Weise. Fungiert zudem als an p300/CREB-bindender, proteinspezifischer Inhibitor von Histon-Acetyltransferase und hemmt die Acetylierung der Histone H3 und H4 mit einem

IC₅₀ von ~25 µ;M. Wirkt sich nicht auf den an p300/CREB-bindenden proteinassoziierten Faktor (PCAF) aus.
